Period Instruments
We always have a number of Baroque violins for sale, as well as a collection of Baroque and Classical bows. In addition to instruments currently in Baroque set up, we have included a few instruments in this collection whose age or playing characteristics would make them ideal for conversion to Baroque set up.
The instruments in this collection have been very carefully chosen by Tim for their playing characteristics, condition and value for money. We have also sought outside opinions on some of the instruments from players who are better versed in historically informed performance in order to ensure that we are only offering instruments which sound the best. All of the instruments have been carefully examined for condition and those which are not brand new come with a detailed condition report.
