About the violinThis violin is a relatively early instrument by Melvin, made in 1993. It is copy of the famous 'Messiah' Stradivari of 1716.
The violin has a one piece back of flamed maple with ribs and scroll to match. The front is two pieces of medium-grained spruce. The varnish is a vibrant red colour which very successfully captures the look of the original instrument.
The violin has a length of back of 356 mm.
