John Jeffrey, Chirnside, 1889
John Jeffery made a total of about 50 violins, working in the village of Chirnside, just north west of Berwick Upon Tweed. This violin was completed in 1889, and is excellent condition. It has a bright and responsive tone, with plenty of bite and projection. It is an individual take on an Amati model and is very successful.
