About Howard Green
Howard Green is a contemporary bow maker, based in Tayport, Fife. He is highly respected for his bows amongst both musicians and dealers. A cellist himself, Green makes bows with excellent response and reliability.
About the violin bow
This bow was made in Fife in 2025. The round stick is of good quality pernambuco and measures 729 mm in length.
The mounts are of silver and ebony and the faceplate is silver.
The bow weighs 59 grams.
How does it play?
This bow draws out a large, dark sound and works very well off the string. It has a good balance of strength and flexibility.
Condition
The bow is in original mint condition.
