Howard Green is a contemporary bow maker, based in Tayport, Fife. He is highly-respected for his bows amongst both musicians and dealers and his bows can be found in the hands of professional players around the world. A cellist himself, Green makes bows with excellent response and reliability.

This bow was made in Tayport in 2024. The round stick measures 734 mm in length and the mounts are silver and ebony.
The bow weighs 70.5 grams.
How does it play?
This is a versatile, strong bow that pulls a big sound from the viola. It would work brilliantly with a dark or less responsive instrument, adding boldness and focus. The bow plays particularly crisply off the string.
