Orbis Musicus

We are delighted to support the excellent work of the Orbis Musicus String Academy, taking place this September in the beautiful town of Ochsenhausen in southern Germany.

The course runs from 14–18 September and features an outstanding faculty: Sergey Levitin and Professor Christiane Hutcap (violin), Professor Karin Wolf (viola), and Professor Josephine Knight (cello). The academy is open to violinists, violists and cellists aged 15 and above.

Tim and I both have very fond memories of attending courses like this and know first-hand how transformative the opportunity to learn from world-class performers and teachers can be for a young player's development. We are therefore proud to offer a scholarship to a talented young musician who might not otherwise be able to attend.

The registration deadline is 14 August, with applications considered on a rolling basis until that date. Full details can be found on the Orbis Musicus website.
