About our Warrender Violin Outfit
Specially selected by Tim for their versatility and quality of tone, the Warrender is handmade to our exacting standards. They are made in a small workshop in China with whom we work very closely. We wanted ensure that these violins offer a truly exceptional option at an affordable price and we’re very proud of the result! The violins are set up to the highest standard with Dominant strings and are available with or without adjusters in the tailpiece.
This outfit is available in 3/4 and 4/4 sizes.
How does it sound?
These violins have been selected for their evenness and ease of playing. They have the power necessary to explore repertoire beyond Grade 8, without sacrificing any beauty of tone. A testament to the workshop in which they were made, these instruments are extremely consistent. The sound is warm and generous, competing successfully against antique instruments of higher value.
These instruments make an excellent upgrade from a first full size outfit, or a reliable partner for an adult returner to playing. We’ve also sold a fair amount of these as touring instruments for professional players.
What is included in the Warrender Outfit?
The outfit comprises the violin, an excellent brazilwood bow and a lined oblong case with hygrometer and music pocket.
What size of violin do I need?
The Warrender outfit is available in 3/4 and 4/4 sizes. As a general rule, we usually find that children aged between 9 and 11 tend to fit a 3/4 violin, whereas a full size (4/4) violin usually fits those from 11 upwards. Please see our violin size guide for more detailed information. We are always happy to offer advice on sizing.
What if I outgrow the Warrender Outfit?
