Arthur Richardson, 1947, Crediton

This is a magnificent viola, in brilliantly original condition, even retaining it’s original bridge. The first thing that this viola does when one plays it is impress with its wall of sound. It isn’t simply loud, but has one of the fullest and fattest viola sounds I’ve ever heard.

Whilst being pretty large, it also is relatively easy to get around, owing to the slim neck and Tertis model. Length of back, 16 3/4 inches.
