About Luis Emilio Rodriguez Carrington
Luis Emilio is a renowned Mexican bow maker based in The Hague, Netherlands. He is a leading authority on period bows, making bespoke bows for all the instruments of the violin family. He is also the inventor of the 'Trick Twig' an adjustment mechanism which allows players of fixed-frog bows to slacked or tighten the hair in a similar way to a modern bow.

This Baroque violin bow was made in The Hague in 2006.
The bow is made of snakewood with a snakewood frog and mammoth button. It weighs 53.9 grams and measures 700 mm in length.
How does it play?
This bow produces a massive sound. It has lovely clear articulation with great control.
