About this violin

The violin was made in South Shields in 2016 and is modelled after the instruments of Guarneri del Gesù.

The violin has a two piece back of flamed maple which ascends slightly from the centre joint. The ribs are of similar wood and the scroll is much more narrowly flamed. The front is two pieces of medium to wide grained spruce and the varnish is a deep amber colour.

The violin has a length of back of 355mm.

How does it sound?

This is a well-balanced instrument which feels reliable to play. If you are looking for a violin which will allow you to just get on with the business of learning tricky repertoire without making life any harder, this would be a great fit!

Condition

The violin is in original mint condition.
