Often chosen as an upgrade from a first violin, the Argyle offers a greater depth of sound for players who are searching for more variety from their instrument. The instruments are handmade and set up with adjusters for ease of tuning.
What is included in the Argyle outfit?
The outfit is made up of a violin, a rucksack- style oblong case with music pocket and a good-quality brazil wood bow. The violins are set up with great care.
What size of violin do I need?
As a very general rule, children over the age of 11 tend to be tall enough to play on a full-size (4/4) violin. We have put together a more detailed violin size guide which may be helpful: we are always very happy to advise on instrument sizes and will always make sure the instrument is a good fit.
What sizes are available?
We currently have this outfit available in 3/4 and 4/4 sizes.
Who is this violin suitable for?
As this violin offers a greater variety of tonal colour and a richer tone than our beginner outfits, the Argyle makes an excellent upgrade from a first violin outfit. It is also popular with adult learners who would like to set out on their journey with a more generous sounding instrument.
What if I outgrow this violin?
Like all of our student instruments, these outfits are eligible for our part exchange scheme. This means that they can be easily changed for another size or instrument when necessary.
